Dave Buchwald is a Brooklyn-based film editor and graphic artist. He edited and supervised the post-production of the features Love Simple and Urchin with his film company The Enemy. He produced and authored the DVD for 2600 Film's documentary Freedom Downtime, along with editing numerous short projects. Recent graphic art projects include logos for The Barefoot Theatre Company, and a long time residency as cover artist for 2600 magazine. His cover art was featured in the French graphic arts exhibition, Chaumont-Graphisme. His work FOOTNOTES in the book Promotional Copy was featured at the Soho Guggenheim museum. He served as "hacking consultant" for the film Hackers using knowledge gained from his previous life as a rogue computer expert. This past life included founding and running Crossbar Security, a groundbreaking computer security boutique firm. Dave has the utmost respect for dogs, but also owns a partial cat.
His films have been screened all over, however Urchin was banned in Malaysia.
